Internal Settings

The following information is provided for authorized technicians only and is not intended for use by the

user. Adjustment of internal settings by non-authorized persons will void the warranty. Technicians are

expected to follow appropriate ESD practices.

Voltage setting

With the power cord disconnected, use a coin or flathead screwdriver to align the desired voltage setting with

the white mark at the perimeter of the selector switch. Ensure that you are using the proper fuse – see below.

Fuses

CAUTION For protection against risk of fire, replace only with same type and rating of fuse: 100/120V~

operation: 250V, 800mA, T (Slow Blow); 220/240V~ operation: 250V, 400mA, T (Slow Blow).

Soft limit calibration on A/D

The soft limit threshold is factory calibrated for –4 dB but can be adjusted as necessary.

To adjust Soft Limit threshold for either channel, rotate VR12 (left channel) or VR15 (right channel) to set the

threshold at which Soft Limit begins to operate. To reduce the risk of miscalibration, calibration should be per-

formed with an Audio Precision System One, System Two or similar equipment.

Common mode rejection adjustment on A/D

To trim the common mode rejection, rotate VR13 (left) or VR10 (right) while shorting pins 2 and 3 of the chan-

nel’s analog inputs together and monitoring the digital output. Find the position where the output level is min-

imized.

DAC pin 3 hot jumpers

The PSX-100 provides jumpers for the DAC output to be pin 3 hot. Default from

factory is pin 2 hot.

The jumpers, which are mounted near the

trimrods for pin 2 hot.

Optional video card installation

With unit powered off, the 20 pin header on the video card is pressed into the J2 header on the main board.

Make sure pin 1 on the card lines up with pin 1 on the header, as marked on board.
